These are the roles that make Country Lane feel like a neighborhood, not just a school. From welcoming new families in the classroom to organizing evening events for the whole community, Community Building volunteers are often a family's very first connection point at CL.

• Room Parent: Support your child's classroom parties and staff appreciation
• Grade Lead: Liaison between HSC and Room Parents for your grade
• Volunteer Skills Bank: Share a skill, get called on only when there's a great fit — no meetings, no commitment
• Social Events Committee: Plan community events like Game Night and Parent Education Night
• Staff Appreciation Committee: Coordinate ways to thank our teachers and staff each May

Hands-on programs that bring learning, culture, and play to life.

Enrichment volunteers step directly into the school day — helping in art class, leading recess games, reading with students, or coaching them around the track. If you want to be present with kids and see your impact firsthand, this is where to look.

• Creative Colts Art Program: Assist the art teacher during class, no artistic skill needed
• Fun Zone: Lead games and activities during Tuesday lunch recess
• Project Cornerstone Coordinator: Recruit and train ABC Readers volunteers
• Project Cornerstone Volunteer (ABC Readers): Read and lead SEL discussions in the classroom
• Track Pack Coordinator: Organize our weekly running program
• Track Pack Volunteer: Support students during Thursday running sessions
• Math Committee: Coordinate the Math Festival and other STEM activities
• International Fair Committee: Celebrate the cultures of Country Lane each spring

Powering the programs our school relies on.

None of the above happens without funding. Fundraising volunteers keep our programs running — from the annual Donation Drive to community sponsorships to family-friendly restaurant nights. Great for parents who like organizing, connecting with local businesses, or running a good campaign.

• Fundraising & Sponsorship: Support the Donation Drive and secure local business sponsors
• Walkathon Committee: Help coordinate our fall Walkathon event
• Science Camp Committee (4th Grade): Help offset Science Camp costs for next year's families
• Restaurant Night Fundraising: Schedule partner nights that give back to CL

Keeping our community informed and our office running smoothly.

Behind every flyer, website update, and photocopy is a volunteer making sure information reaches families and our school stays running. These roles are flexible, often doable from home, and perfect for parents with an eye for design or a knack for logistics.

• Marketing Committee: Design and distribute event flyers and posters
• Website Designer: Make simple updates to the HSC website
• Copy Center: Help with photocopying for Country Lane staff

Steering the ship — big-picture decisions and district connections.

Board roles set the direction for the entire HSC — budgeting, planning, and representing Country Lane at the district level. These positions ask for a bigger time commitment but offer the biggest opportunity to shape what our school community looks like.

• President / Co-Presidents: Lead HSC Board and General Meetings, oversee community events
• Vice President: Support the President and step in when needed
• Treasurer: Manage HSC finances and reimbursements
• Co-Treasurer: Handle deposits and financial recordkeeping
• Secretary: Take meeting minutes and coordinate board communications
• MEF Representative: Represent Country Lane at district foundation meetings
